Here is a Gluten Free list for the Milwaukee area: Gluten free options
Here is some basic info on gluten: GLUTEN SENSITIVITY AND CELIAC DISEASE SYMPTOMS
We test in our office for gluten sensitivity by doing an Adrenal Stress Index, Saliva Test. In that test, it detects the antibody to the protein Gliadin, which is the protein found in gluten. If your body is sensitive to Gluten, it will start to form an antibody against it. This a great test and is non-invasive.

Our program involves an overall wellness evaluation as well as recommendations on diet, exercise and the use of hCG. hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadatropin) is an all natural hormone providing today’s patients with many amazing health and wellness benefits including rapid weight loss.
Why use h.C.G.? …..
More than 50 years ago Dr. A. T. W. Simeons became interested in how a pregnant women could loose weight during pregnancy and still deliver a healthy baby. While researching this occurance he found that the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG) to be responsible. This hormone is produced by the body in abundance during pregnancy, causing the mothers adipose fat to liquefy in levels more than sufficient to supply her bloodstream with nutrition around the clock to ensure the proper development of her unborn child.
Taking his research further, Dr Simeons studied the effects of hCG on weight loss. During his studies, it was noticed that when small doses of hCG were administered, without a diet and without weight loss, changes in body measurements occurred, hips and waist became smaller. At first it was thought that this was due to redistribution of water. Later it was established that it was adipose tissue fat that was on the move.
One pound of body fat stores upwards of 2000 calories. Once body fat is made fluid, nutrition can be released to the bloodstream, reducing hunger, and waste flushed from the system. Calories provided on an even consistent level improves metabolism. With diet, women were shown to lose weight at a rate of ½ to ¾ pounds per day and men at a rate of ½ to 1½ pounds per day.
In many thousands of cases. it was found that patients receiving hCG by injection were able to live comfortably on a very low calorie diet without the usual accompaniments of hunger, weakness or irritability.

What Are Bioidentical Hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are manufactured in the lab to have the same molecular structure as the hormones made by your own body. By contrast, synthetic hormones are intentionally different. Drug companies can’t patent a bioidentical structure, so they invent synthetic hormones that are patentable (Premarin, Prempro and Provera being the most widely used examples).
Though bioidentical hormones have been around for years, most practitioners are unfamiliar with them. There are several branded versions now available for use in the kind of hormone replacement therapy (“HRT”) typical of synthetic hormones. This is generally a one-size-fits-all dosage regime.
In our practice, we have had the greatest success with an individualized approach. We begin with laboratory tests of hormone levels (a so-called “hormone panel”). When warranted, we then prescribe a precise dosage of bioidentical estrogen, progesterone, testosterone or DHEA that is made up at a compounding pharmacy. Each patient is then monitored carefully through regular follow-up hormone panels to ensure we get symptom relief at the lowest possible dosage. In the initial stages, we will do a hormone panel every two – three months. Once balance is restored, we’ll do one panel a year at the time of the annual exam.
Are bioidentical hormones better than synthetic hormones?
We long ago concluded that the answer to this question is yes. But that doesn’t mean bioidentical hormones are perfect.
The great appeal of bioidentical hormones is that they are natural, and our bodies can metabolize them as it was designed to do, minimizing side effects. Synthetic hormones are quite strong and often produce intolerable side effects. Moreover, the compounded bioidentical hormones can be matched individually to each woman’s needs — something that’s just impossible with mass-produced products.
Are bioidentical hormones safer than synthetics?
European medical studies suggest that yes, bioidentical hormones are safer than synthetic versions. This makes perfect sense. But we must be cautious here, because they have not been well-studied, especially for long-term use. And in any case, we never recommend that a woman think of any drug as completely safe.
Let us note here that the WHI studies on the effectiveness and health risks of HRT were based on synthetic/equine-based hormones.
What do we recommend?
The great majority of women can rebalance their hormones without the use of drugs. We have found that about 85% can find relief through an approach that combines medical-grade nutritional supplements, gentle endocrine support, dietary and lifestyle changes and bioidentical hormones. We recommend that every woman start with this combination approach as a foundation of health.
We don’t recommend that any hormones be used long-term unless essential for symptom relief, and then only with a complete risk assessment. We also don’t support the idea that bioidentical hormone therapy should be used indefinitely as some kind of fountain of youth.
So — are bioidentical hormones for you?
At IFWC, our goal is to help inform women about their options so that they can make the choice that’s best for them. A woman’s hormonal balance is a dynamic equilibrium that shifts from day to day, week to week, and through the years. When you give your body the support it needs it can reset itself, because it’s equipped and programmed for balance and wellness. So we recommend beginning with the gentlest form of support possible to allay your discomfort and tweaking it as you go. We’ll support you in any way we can, each step of the way. The good news is that women can feel incredibly well right through menopause.
