Laura Davis attended Carroll College-Columbia College of Nursing and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999. She began her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee caring for patients on the Medical/Surgical Floor.
She soon transferred to the Emergency Department where her passion to care for the critically ill and injured patient blossomed. After 8 years, Laura decided to further her emergency nursing skills and began employment at Froedtert Hospital in the Emergency Department/Level 1 Trauma Center. She continues to be challenged there with the addition of providing interim management support to the nursing staff in the Emergency Department.
Laura enjoys mission trips providing wellness education to those who have little to no access to healthcare. In 2013 she helped in Tanzania, Africa, providing care to over 600 patients. After 11 years in Emergency Nursing, she decided to continue her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. After many years of caring for patients with such disrupted states of health, it became her dream to provide holistic care as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
In 2013, Laura graduated from Concordia University in Mequon, WI, with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her goal is to help patients achieve optimal health through an integrative team approach that is unique to Integrative Family Wellness Center. She enlisted in the United States Army Reserves in March of 1999 and became the primary instructor for the Combat Lifesaver Course for her unit until 2006 when she received her commission into the Army Nurse Corps. She is currently serving in the 452nd Combat Support Hospital, Bravo Company in Milwaukee, WI. Laura has participated, instructed, and led soldiers in many different training scenarios over the past 14 years, including mass casualty, combat medic, and trauma nursing exercises.
She also provided medical support to a humanitarian mission in 2012 comprised of Army, Air Force, and National Guard soldiers to the citizens of Honduras. She is excited to be a part of the team at Integrative Family Wellness Center. Laura’s patients benefit from her dedication to treating the whole person, instead of focusing on just treating the symptoms. Laura offers Primary Care Services and Urgent Care Services, if needed.
It is her belief that the human body is an intricate machine which requires a harmonious balance of all things it comes in contact with to function properly and maintain optimal wellness.
