Dr. Michele A. Nickels attended naturopathic medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. After medical school, she helped to create the first naturopathic medical residency in Wisconsin and completed that residency specializing in naturopathic family medicine. During her residency, she educated traditionally trained medical doctors on the use of naturopathic medicine in clinical practice. She continued to mentor naturopathic residents and medical doctors as residency director and functioned as a corporate doctor for 8 years after her residency.
Dr. Nickels specializes in naturopathic family practice, treating patients of all ages and ailments. She had been in practice for over 12 years and has been very successful in helping patients regain health and reverse disease. Her clinic focus is on family practice, women’s health, endocrine disorders, autoimmune disease, digestive ailments, weight management, and alternative therapies such as herbal medicine, supplements, bioidentical hormone replacement, Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, biochemical nutrition, and non-traditional diagnostic testing.
Dr. Nickels is one of only a few doctors in the state of Wisconsin that attended medical school for naturopathic medicine and completed a residency in family practice. Her education, training, and clinic expertise puts her at the top of the list as an integrative medicine specialist.
